4th page of the reading 1, 2nd paragraph
"to listen,to memorize-this is the ability to interpret and control history"
If you want you can read one short story of Borges named Fiounes the Rememberer
that is very interesting about the concept of being able to memorize.
It is also very important to connect somehow the function of memorizing with the function of generalizing and see how these work.
I have the story but in greek.If anybody is interested we can search and find it in english.If not I can summarize it and we can talk about it.
